In a remote location, within the border between Ecuador and Colombia, the group Humor y Vida (Humor and Life) brought joy and laughter to a town.

I was raised in a household where peace and non-violence were always talked about. From a very young age, I remember my parents watching videos of Jiddu Krishnamurti, and reading books, like A Course in Miracles. As I grew older, I became aware of the conflict in the world around me, and was saddened by all the violence that seemed to stem from religion.

The name ‘Generation 21’ was born out of the belief that the 21st Century is a pivotal time in human history, and that today’s generation has a unique ability to create positive change in the world. Generation 21 believes that when a community focuses on common goals, things get done.

Twelve year-old author and UNICEF Canada child ambassador Bilaal Rajan held a launch of his new book on Wednesday. Named Making Change: Tips from an Underage Overachiever (160 pages, Orca Book Publishers), it shows young people that no matter who they are or where they’re from, they can make a difference.

A little over a year ago, a song for peace came to me in a dream and from that dream To Be One song was born. The energy of this song drew together amazing people with immense passion for creating ONEness. Through this passion the performance “ONE The Event” was born.
