Raymond Chambers

A philanthropist and businessman, Raymond Chambers is the chief executive officer and founder of the Amelior Foundation, a Newark-based charity that provides education, job training, and employment opportunities for at-risk youth. In 1988, Chambers championed the development of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, of which he is the founding chair. He is also the founding chairman of the Points of Light Foundation, and America’s Promise: The Alliance for Youth, which was cofounded with then-General Colin Powell. The Alliance for Youth has united more than 550 communities across the nation.
