Winter is the season of flu and colds. Many people of different ages suffer from these conditions. Is there a way to prevent flu and colds? The following instructions may prove to be very useful for flu prevention.

The first and most important thing is to maintain your immune system in a healthy state. This will guarantee that you won’t catch a cold and even if you do, your body will be able to fight it faster and more effectively.

Prevention of Flu and ColdsIn order to avoid flu it is recommended to not share drinking and eating utensils with sick people. You should wash your hands before every meal.
It is important to increase the intake of vitamin C because it enhances the immune system. You can consume more fresh fruits and vegetables, including oranges, tomatoes and broccoli. You can also take one multivitamin per day to ensure your body is provided with the essential vitamins and minerals.

Daily water intake should also be increased. This can be achieved with consummation of herbal teas and diluted fruit juices.

Good sleep and reduced levels of stress are also a key factor for flu prevention because they enhance the immune system. At least 7-8 hours night sleep is considered as good and healthy.

Regular exercising has beneficial effect on the general health and is very helpful for reduction of flu occurrence.
